Social Networking And MeCommerce

Today I was searching social networking and I came across an article wrote by a woman named Sue Spielman " Cashing In On MeCommerce" and she quotes that today, there are more than 350 million social network users, which is more than the total U.S. population. She also quotes, what makes the mashup of social networks with e-commerce ,or mecommerce, compelling is that it not only makes user's recommendations viral to their social networking friend's list, but enables the social network member to actually benefit monetarily from their recommendations.

I did not know that social networking had that many users, I was just blown away with that information. I see now that it is a lot of users out there and that I am not the only one new to social networking. To be more than the U.S. population is awesome and to know that the social network users are all on one accord in working together in building businesses and in becoming known to family and friends on the internet. This is not just a little thing this is huge and I am glad to be a part of it.
